I'm pretty sure it was a Barred Owl sitting on the pole where we hang our bird feeders. I'm also pretty sure there were some nervous little birds in the yard, hoping they weren't about to become its breakfast.

Owl!
Lea-Frances woke me up around 7:00 this morning when she ran into my room screaming about an owl in the backyard. I did not manage to drag myself out of bed and downstairs before it flew away, but fortunately Simon took pictures.
I'm pretty sure it was a Barred Owl sitting on the pole where we hang our bird feeders. I'm also pretty sure there were some nervous little birds in the yard, hoping they weren't about to become its breakfast.
