Norman's baseball team, the Green Machine, played their first game of the season on Monday. Simon went to the game with Norman, while I stayed home and put Boo to bed. (She's usually asleep around 8:00 which makes taking her to a game that starts at 7:30 difficult. Especially since she was up late Sunday for the Durham Bulls game.) Simon told me a bit about the game, which they won 10-7. Norman made it to bat twice: first up was a double that drove in two runs, second up he struck out. Norman's statistics: AB 2, H 1, 2B 1, BA .500, R 0, RBI 2.
These pictures are from tonight's game, which I watched while Simon put Boo to bed. They made it through four innings before time ran out, losing 0-6. Norman was only at bat once, since he was late in the batting order and most everyone on his team struck out. Including him. Norman's statistics: AB 3, H 1, 2B 1, BA .333, R 0, RBI 2.
