Lovie

The first grade is doing a Kevin Henkes unit (which will culminate in a special lunch next Friday). Boo brought home a note yesterday:
Today we read the book Owen, by Kevin Henkes. Owen had a fuzzy yellow blanket that he received when he was a baby. He loved it with all of his heart. We would like for you to bring your "lovie" or something that means a lot to you to school tomorrow. Find out who gave it to you, how long you have had it, and any adventures it has had with you since you have had it. We will be writing about our "lovies" and making a graph with them.
This was an easy assignment, since Big Bunny is the obvious choice. When things go wrong, Big Bunny makes them right. Boo picked her at Toys R Us as a treat from Daddy for completing a potty sticker chart when she was two. She sleeps with her every night, even when we travel (so she's been on lots of adventures: camping, Maine, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, even England).

Apparently Big Bunny was the biggest lovie in her class, which doesn't really surprise me.
