Easter Egg Hunt

We haven't really had a cohesive Easter tradition so far, but the kids remembered last year's egg hunt and clamored for another. We filled plastic eggs with candy and clues last night, and Simon put them out in the yard early this morning. Like last year, they each looked for specific colors to avoid clashes. I followed them around the yard with the camera as they gathered their treats.

We added a familiar twist this year and hid some treats (two years ago they had a string of clues to find their entire basket and didn't hunt for eggs at all). The large eggs all contained a paper clue which led them to a larger treat -- a puzzle, water bottle, goofy pen, chocolate bunny, and marshmallow peeps.

It was a fair amount of work, but the kids loved it. I have a feeling they'll be expecting the exact same thing next year; it's harder to be spontaneous with holidays once the kids are old enough to remember from year to year.
