Days like this make me realize how lucky our family is that Simon can spend time with the kids while I work. I would have been focused on laundry, housework, dinner prep, homework help ... the daily slog, instead of going on a fun excursion.

No Mountain Necessary
Since the kids don't have any after school activities on Tuesdays, Simon was looking for something fun to do with them. He chose rock climbing. Fortunately you don't need a mountain to go rock climbing, or even your own gear. Norman went to a classmate's party at Vertical Edge Climbing Center about a month ago, and he and Simon have been itching to go back ever since. These pictures make me wish I'd decided to play hooky from work and join them. The kids babbled excitedly about the experience through dinner, and can't wait to go again.
