Itty Bitty Snails

It rained yesterday, enough that the ground was too wet for the kids' first T-ball/baseball games. At least some of the critters in our yard liked the damp ground though. Boo was playing outside before dinner and found four tiny snails in the rose bed (which is full of weeds and dead rose bushes). She put them in a bowl along with a few bits of nature.


At first I wasn't sure they were all alive, as only one crawled around in the bowl.


She released them from captivity onto the brick wall, and pretty soon they all came out of their shells and started crawling. Not sure why, but they all turned and crawled in the same direction. She was worried they might fall off the wall and hurt themselves, so she eventually put them back where she found them.
