The kids neglected to tell me about my present on my birthday. Apparently they wanted to keep it a surprise until it actually happened. Simon built triangular raised beds for beside the shed ramp this weekend. Boo helped him pick out the plants, then she and Norman each planted a side.
While I was taking these pictures this afternoon they told me that it was a present that kept on going, as they plan to tend to the plants themselves. I'm not sure how long they'll stay committed even with parental assistance, but it sure is a sweet thought.
