Replacement Windows

We finally bit the bullet and replaced the windows in our 35-year old house. The old windows were drafty (especially the large picture windows) and nearly impossible to clean, plus they were either painted shut or wouldn't stay open due to worn-out springs. The window guys were here all day Friday, and I'm pretty happy with the results.

The big window in the parlor used to be lots of small panes. Now there's a picture window in the center with a double-hung window on each side. We have a nice view, and can also get some air flow through this room in the spring and fall.

The big window in the breakfast nook was also lots of small panes, but it's just one big picture window now. It gives us a great view of the backyard and bird feeders, though we're going to have to add some stickers to keep the birds from flying into it.
