Happy Birthday To Me

I had a pretty low-key birthday celebration yesterday: Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast, cards from my sister, husband, and kids, phone calls from both my Mom and my Dad, dinner at Elmo's, and flowers from Mom and Jim.

I was parent reader for Norman's class at lunchtime. He suggested poetry, so I lugged in a bunch of books: Robert Lewis Stevenson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Robert Frost, A. A. Milne, Edward Lear, Maurice Sendak, Shel Silverstein, and Norman's Favorite -- If Pigs Could Fly by Bruce Lansky. Lots of fun as usual, and the class even sang "Happy Birthday" to me before I left.
