Boo and the Beanstalk

Boo attended an Eco-Explorers camp at the Museum of Life and Science for a week in July. One day she brought home a baggie containing two beans and a damp paper towel. I added water a couple of times, but feared they would dry out while we were away on vacation. So I planted the sprouted beans in the big pot with Norman's tomato plant before we left. They are just a thin stalk on each side of the planter, but one has blossoms and the other has an actual bean. Pretty exciting! Boo held the leaves back for me this afternoon so I could take a picture of the bean. She's wearing her sparkly leotard because she stays after school for dance/gymnastics on Mondays.
