We went to a birthday party today for twins who are Norman's friends from school. The invitation said bring the family to a pool party with lots of food and entertainment. I think "lots" may have been an understatement. One of the other parents we spoke with joked that he was glad his son's birthday wasn't until November because he'd hate to be following this. Reminded me a bit of touring Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory "... talk about your childhood wishes ..." There was just about everything children could want: swimming, a clown, bubble machine, popcorn and sno-cone machines, giant inflatables, baby chicks, a pony ride, face painting, an animal show, enough food for an army (pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, beans, cole slaw, potato salad, chips, soda, juice, cookies), and two birthday cakes -- one white, one chocolate. I'm guessing there were a couple hundred people there, including at least 75 children. It was an exhausting blast!
