Simon and Norman have been building radio controlled cars together for over a month now. Not toys, but 1/10 scale cars that people race seriously. Simon bought an Alfa kit online and Norman really enjoyed helping assemble it. That started the snowball rolling, since one of Simon's co-workers is an enthusiast. Dave donated some parts and Simon bought what was missing to create a second chassis. Norman wanted a rally car body, so they bought a Subaru. The blue car was just a clear piece of plastic a few days ago, but they painted it and applied decals.
Norman's car is a more serious racer than the Alfa, so Simon purchased another for himself. The black car has a 4WD race-able chassis, so now they duel it out on the blacktop over at Durham Academy.
Such concentration. (It almost looks like they're fishing to me.)
