Baseball III

The kids each played two ball games this week, one scheduled and one a make-up from the first missed game. Thus we were at the baseball field on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening.

Boo had a game on Tuesday. It was officially a forfeit since the other team only had five players. The Cheetahs loaned them a few players, and the kids played an unofficial game (final score: 15-15, with each inning being called after 5 runs). She batted four times, all singles, drove in two runs, and scored three runs. Boo's statistics: AB 9, H 7, 1B 7, BA .778, R 4, RBI 3.


The kids had back-to-back games on Wednesday. Boo's game was first. I'm not sure of the final score, but believe the Cheetahs lost by three runs. Like the previous night, she batted four times. She was the first batter of the game; she singled and ultimately scored. Her second time at bat she also singled (driving in a run as well) and ultimately scored. Her third time at bat she singled again (and drove in another run), but was ultimately thrown out at home plate. Her fourth time at bat she was thrown out at first. Boo's statistics: AB 13, H 10, 1B 10, BA .769, R 6, RBI 5.
Norman's game was second. It was officially a forfeit since the other team only had five players. The kids played an unofficial game, with Norman making it to bat only once. He singled and ultimately scored. Norman's statistics: AB 2, H 2, 1B 2, BA 1.000, R 1, RBI 1.

Norman had a game on Thursday. They played three innings and were beaten 15-6. He actually made it to bat twice this game. His first time at bat he was thrown out at first, a very close call. His second time at bat he singled, driving in a run, and ultimately scored. Norman's statistics: AB 4, H 3, 1B 3, BA .750, R 2, RBI 2.
