Real Chickens ... And Horses Too

Spence's Farm had a Parent Appreciation Day for campers and their families. It was Boo's chance to show us around and share her knowledge. She is especially enamored with the chickens. Remember Sylvia? The previous year's picture showed her holding a chicken and that has been one of Boo's aspirations ever since. Well, she held several chickens today, some not pictured.




Norman ran around after the chickens, but had no desire to hold any. He preferred scaling the climbing tree (since we have access to so few good trees to climb) and picking blackberries for the Farm Store. We did manage to persuade him to take a led horse ride, which he said was "bumpy".

The horses were the reason Boo wanted to do the summer camp, but the chickens seem to have won her heart.
