Baseball VI

Norman had a baseball game on Tuesday. I stayed home and put Lea-Frances to bed while Simon took Norman to the game. From his report, the Yellow Knights creamed their opponent. Norman batted three times again, though he only made it to base once. He singled (and eventually scored) his first time at bat, but struck out the next two times. Norman's statistics: AB 11, H 7, 1B 6, 2B 1, BA .636, R 4, RBI 2.

Lea-Frances had a T-ball game on Thursday night, the last of the season. I was in charge of getting the kids up to bat in the correct order again, but I managed to also keep track of the score this time. The Golden Cheetahs squeaked out a win 15-14. Her teammate Jordan had a great game: triple play in the first inning (caught the fly, then tagged out runners at third and second who didn't realize they couldn't advance on an out), and a grand slam home run in the third inning! What a way to end the season. She singled the first time she was at bat, driving in a run (and eventually scoring herself).

She was thrown out at first base the second time she was at bat. Boo's final statistics for the season: AB 17, H 13, 1B 13, BA .765, R 7, RBI 6. Everyone on the team received a trophy after the game, along with the usual snack.
