Mr. Rockin' Ribbit

Last year Norman's class took turns bringing home Butterscotch the horse and his journal, this year it's Mr. Rockin' Ribbit. Norman is the next-to-last child to have the honor. Normally the frog comes home on Thursday and goes back to school the following Monday. However, next week is Spring Break so Norman gets to keep him for a whole extra week. Of course this means that he has to write in the journal for a whole extra week too. Lots of work!

The kids and I watched the third Harry Potter movie this morning, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Norman and I read them at bedtime first, then watch the movie to see that interpretation and compare it with the book. Boo could never stay awake for all that reading, nor handle the suspense of days to find out what happens. She likes watching the movies though, as long as we're there with her and tell her what's coming up for the scary parts so she's sure it will all turn out okay. Mr. Rockin' Ribbit watched the movie along with us -- as you can see, Boo is quite enamored with him.
