First Moth!

Tuesday was three weeks since we put the hornworms into a box to pupate, and we've been checking the box daily. I looked yesterday just before dinner, and noticed a moth clinging to Boo's side of the divider (an Eggo waffle box) we'd fashioned to keep the two separate. We brought the box outside and took a few pictures, but didn't release the moth until the following morning. We wanted to make sure it was well rested before heading out into the world.

According to Boo's Moth and Butterfly identification book, it's called a Carolina Sphinx Moth. Pretty cool!
