Snowboy and Snowdog

It has stayed cold, so the icy snow is sticking around. We took Snowy outside for a few minutes after lunch to see what he thought of the snow. As you can see, he's a camouflage dog and blends in nicely.

Norman showed him an icicle, which Snowy promptly started licking. Yum, cold water!

Norman gathered up a bunch of large icicles to store in the freezer. His handiwork from this morning is in the background on the right.

As I noted yesterday, this snow doesn't stick together; it's useless for making snowballs or snowmen. There are areas with enough sleet that it breaks off into chunks though, so Norman improvised a bit. He stacked the chunks to create a snow cairn, which he's quite proud of.
