The snow stayed on the roads for a few days, making for slippery driving conditions. There aren't enough plows here to clear the roads in a timely manner. The sun did the work eventually, but there were lots of cancellations in the interim. The kids only had one snow day, as Monday was a planned teacher workday and they went back this morning (the public schools are on their third snow day today).
The crocuses that I posted a picture of
before the storm are in a shady spot that is still covered by snow. I'm not sure if they survived, but others certainly did.

There were conflicting predictions yesterday: Punxsutawney Phil said six more weeks of winter, but Sir Walter Wally (our local celebrity groundhog) said we'll have an early spring.
