Making Valentines

The kids worked on their Valentines this afternoon. They're based on Friendship Blossoms in Family Fun Magazine. I prepared all the materials beforehand (created templates, printed them on bright card stock, cut out the pieces, and assembled the leaves) -- phew!


Boo selected her pieces and put them on the Tootsie Pops, but needed help getting them snugly to the end before I attached the leaves.


Once Norman got the hang of it, he was able to get the pieces snugged up on all but the most difficult pops.


Here they are with a garden of blossoms for their classmates and teachers. If we have time later in the week we'll make a few more for enrichment teachers, but they're basically finished. Lots of work, but way more fun than store bought Valentines.
