Decorating the Tree

We set-up and decorated our Christmas tree this afternoon. Or should I say: Simon set up the tree, I handed out the ornaments, and the kids did the decorating. Most of it anyway. There were a few ornaments from my childhood that I hung out of nostalgia, and a few fragile ornaments that I hung high out of necessity.



I forgot to wrap the strings of red wooden beads (our mock cranberries) before we put on the ornaments, so we decided to skip them this year. And the top leans a bit more than usual. Still, I think it looks lovely. Many of the ornaments have an associated story or memory, which makes the tree even more special in my eyes.
