Norman's first baseball game was Monday. He was only at bat once, since he batted late in the lineup and they played five or six innings with lots of strike-outs. Simon brought the video camera, but didn't have it ready because he didn't expect Norman to actually hit the ball (he'd seen their second practice where everyone
tried hitting against the pitching machine). Well, Norman did. It was a double, and he drove Pavi home as well. The next batter produced their third out, so he didn't have a chance to score. Not bad to be batting 1.000 with one RBI.
The Lasers played their second game on Thursday, and Norman made it to bat twice. There were fewer strike-outs since the kids are getting better against the pitching machine. First up he had two strikes, then connected with the ball for a single. If I recall correctly, he made it to third on the next batter, then scored a batter or two later. Second up he struck out, ending both the inning and the game. Let's see if I can get his statistics right: AB 3, H 2, 1B 1, 2B 1, BA .667, R 1, RBI 1.
