Blue Lightning - Game 7 & 8

Boo's Tuesday game was rained out, but they played a make-up game on Wednesday. She played catcher for one of the innings, which she loves (not that the catcher does much in T-ball).

She singled both times at bat, but was left on base both times by the "five runs per inning" rule. Look at her run as she heads for third base. Boo's statistics: AB 17, H 14, 1B 14, BA .824, R 9, RBI 1.

Thanks to the rainout/make-up, Boo had baseball games on two consecutive nights this week. Tonight was the Blue Lightning's final game of the season! They narrowly lost by a score of 17-19. Once again Boo did her part in the batting department, singling all three times at bat (she only scored once, being left on base the other two times by the fifth run of the inning). Here she winds up and gives the ball a good wallop for a change. Boo's final statistics for the season: AB 20, H 17, 1B 17, BA .850, R 10, RBI 2.

Norman and some of the other older brothers sat in the bleachers during the game playing on their parent's iPhone (or iPod touch in Norman's case - Simon's latest toy).

After the game the kids received trophies, posed for team pictures ...

... and ate blue frosted cupcakes for snack.
