The "Holiday Springs and Sprockets" exhibit was being set-up during our last visit, but is up and running now. The kids like pushing the buttons and watching the sculptures come to life. My favorite was this stationary tree made entirely of junk. We'd watched it being assembled: a metal frame with twine wrapped around it and various bits and pieces zip-tied on.
The cauldron of clouds (my term, not the museum's) in the weather area never ceases to amuse them. When they were younger I would pick them up and dip them in, now they like to blow it at each other.
The experiment in The Investigate Health! Lab was "Testing For Vitamin C". They determined that orange juice and lime juice were both sources of vitamin C, while orange soda and Sprite(?) weren't.
We almost always check out the animals in the wildlife exhibit (there were new, smaller alligators this visit), build with Keva blocks, and fold some origami; this visit was no exception.
Another fun day at the Museum of Life and Science for my little livers and scientists. (Once when I was exasperated with Boo for being so rambunctious, she said "But Mom, I was born to be a liver". Being a "liver" is now a running joke in our family.)
