Like Boo, he stuck each bow to his face as he unwrapped gifts. Unlike Boo, he kept the previous bow(s) on, so he looked intentionally comical at the end.

He was excited to receive three Star Wars/Clone Wars LEGO sets from a wish list he created several months ago. So excited that he couldn't wait to get started. Here he is in his bedroom with the 1170 pieces of the Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser.

He worked on his LEGOs until it was tea time, or should I say cake time. Norman wanted a Dirt Cake for his birthday, so we had a repeat of twenty days ago -- but with three more candles.

When Simon got home from work, we headed out to dinner at Elmo's. The kids had their usual meals: Chocolate Chip Pancake for Norman, and Noodles with Cheese for Boo (with bacon instead of grits this time).

And of course Hot Fudge Sundaes for desert. Our server didn't add a candle, even though the kids told her it was Norman's birthday; fortunately Norman didn't mind. After all, the ice cream, fudge, whipped cream, and sprinkles are the important part.
