Skinny Little Bean

In July, Boo came home from one of her Museum camps with a baggie containing beans and a damp paper towel. Two of the seeds sprouted, so we tucked them in a pot outside the front door. Some heavy rain broke one of the stems, but one of the plants survived. It recently blossomed, and has produced it's first bean. It looks like we may get a few more before the first frost puts an end to the growing season. These sprouting "experiments" never seem to come home at the right time for a good harvest, but the kids have fun watching them grow anyway.
