Photos of her three pictures and Norman's lid design were placed in the coffin, which sat empty on the counter. Spike was chilling (literally) until Simon had a chance to help the kids bury him, which finally happened this afternoon. We gave him a sendoff fit for royalty, a la King Tut. Spike is buried out back now in a clearing in the trees, joining cats William and Griffith in our "Pet Cemetery". Hopefully it will be a long while before we have to say goodbye to another pet.
