Our Big Backyard

Our breakfast nook has a large window with a view of the backyard. This morning at breakfast time we were visited by a mama deer and her tiny spotted fawn. I didn't think to snap a picture, but I'll try to remember the next time they visit. After the deer left, I noticed something small moving slowly near the shed -- a tortoise. We all went outside and Simon brought it around front for the kids to check out. Boo's crocodile tears are because she wasn't allowed to hold the tortoise too.
