Engineers Day

Yesterday was Engineers Day at the Museum of Life and Science. We did a bunch of engineering-related activities there, but first we visited the butterfly house (the kids had camp at the museum last week and Boo had voted for a trip there every day but always lost out to other activities). Both kids successfully caught butterflies.

Then as a treat we wandered up to the Bungee Jump. It's hard work, but they love it. None of the four kids who jumped while we were waiting in line was brave enough to try a flip. As for my two, they flip away ...

And speaking of brave, here's Boo getting ready to eat a sour-cream-and-onion cricket she bought from the gift shop. Yes, she ate it - everything but the head which she snapped off first. Uuurgh.

I was too caught up in the moment to take many pictures at the engineering activities, but they both tried the boat making, egg drop, Snap Circuit rover course, and gumdrop towers (gumdrops and toothpicks, aiming for height).
