Space Derby

Norman's Cub Scout Pack held its first Space Derby today, and included Boo's Girl Scout Troop in the competition (they are affiliated organizations). Simon helped the kids make their rockets last weekend, and they finished painting them two nights ago. They were the speedsters, with Norman placing third and Boo placing second! There was a fairly small turnout, but it was still a pretty impressive accomplishment. I forgot my camera, though I did take a few (fairly grainy due to low lighting) pictures with my iPad.

Here's a clearer picture of the kids with their rockets and trophies, taken when we got home.
